The application is used for independent revival and repetition of knowledge about the cell. It serves students for independent work with flashcards. It helps to gain insight and reveal connections. It improves the understanding of how the cell functions as a biological unit. On the home page of the application, it is possible to choose a brief Introduction, Cards, Tasks for practice, or Scientists - videos with songs about biologists. In the card section, you choose one of the four themes Life (green series), Structure (yellow series), Transport (blue series), and Growth (red series). You practice using flash cards. In the Tasks section, you choose Triangles, Hexagons, or Squares and match cards to Aces. The attached puzzle is about assigning concepts of a specific process to the scheme. In the Scientists section, you choose between three videos. They present chronologically arranged milestones of biological science from antiquity to the year 2000.The application is based on the principle of Flashcards. You will describe the concepts and their relationships according to the illustrated diagram on the front of the card. You uncover the explanation and compare it to your interpretation. Click on the heart to mark the cards you need some work on, and they will be saved in your notes. The application helps to understand the life processes in the cell in contexts. Innovative micro-structures of four interconnected concepts are used in it. Concepts are arranged on the cards in adjacent areas of triangles, hexagons, or squares. In the direction of the arrow, you can see which concepts are related to each other. The content is divided into four units. 1. Life is focused on the physical conditions, chemical composition, and characteristics of life on Earth. 2. The structure clarifies the function and structure of different types of cells. 3. Transport is about biological membranes and the movement of various substances in cells and membrane structures. 4. Growth is about the ways cells divide and spread and how they get energy for their life. Cards of individual units differ in color. Each contains 13 cards - 4 triangles, 4 hexagons, 4 squares, and one ace. These four thematic parts naturally intertwine. Thats why the application allows you to practice the curriculum in another way. It contains tasks where the cards form 3 groups according to shapes - 1 all triangles, 2 all hexagons, and 3 all squares. At the beginning, there is an ace, and 4 cards of the same shape but of different colors are to be marked, which complement the ace with their content. The next task is the joker puzzle.Scientists - the development of knowledge about the cell has its history. It is related to the development of biology as such and the available technological resources at the time. Important personalities of researchers stood at the milestones of biology. Rhyming songs about them and their discoveries can evoke connections with the concepts on the cards for some study types.
